Original artwork by Paolo Bigazzi
Born in Italy in 1945, Bigazzi graduated from the Academy of Fine Art, Florence, where he studied under Pietro Annigoni and later became a member of the 'Cenacolo' group of artists, led by Annigoni. Not long after graduation Bigazzi settled for a good while in Cap d'Antibes, working alongside the painters and ceramic artists from the nearby village of Vallauris as well as making friends with Picasso. On returning to Italy interest in his work began to grow and galleries throughout Europe and the U.S. introduced him to a much wider audience. In the last ten years Bigazzi has divided his time between England and Tuscany where he continues to paint and exhibit.
